If content in Alfresco is expected to be shared to external people (they don’t have accounts in Alfresco), Alfresco can provide Quick Share feature to generate a public link for a document, and any one can view and download documents as long as they use this link.
We've added private link to Alfresco when it generate a link which is different from public link. a 4-digital password is attached, and the people who has got the link can't preview and download documents without the password. This feature is very similar to Baidu drive, and the difference is, the people with access permission can preview or download documents on browsers.
Now, Alfresco can share documents to external people through either private link or public link.
