API for inline content

API for inline content works with Alfresco community or not ?

You may want to clarify your question. What API specifically are you referring to? What is the use case you need the API to be able to handle?

We want to search inside PDF document content like content search inside the file.

Provided you properly set up Alfresco Search Services, full text search on PDF documents is supported in Community Edition. Additionally, the PDF.js viewer in Alfresco Share supports textual search in the PDF document.
