customize search including search box, advanced search and faceted search

We have to customize search to exclude the documents for which user has no explicit permission via role (ideally the documents that has no permission on but is the creator). Please advice on where to start with to achieve this for search box, faceted search and advance search.

Hi

We had options to control ownership behaviour during query in the past (~4.1 IIRC) but the configuration has since been removed. Currently you would have to explicitly set ownership via a rule/action to make this work or over-ride the definition for global readers in org.alfresco.solr.data.GlobalReaders. You can turn off all permissions checks by property which is a more common requirement. Or better still, submit a patch for the configuration fix!

     Thanks for the response, as we have to do this only on some sites, we implemented a work around that suites our requirement.
