Data encryption in Alfresco community version 4.0

I am using alfresco community version 4.0. We have huge Data repository size (6 TB).

Now we have requirement where files uploaded to the alfresco should get stored in encrypted format.

So we need to do following tasks

1. Encrypt existing uploaded data

2. For any file uploaded, it should bet stored in encrypted format

Any help in the matter is highly appreciated.

There is no addon that provides data encryption for Alfresco 4.0 (a comparatively ancient version).

One of my addon projects provides data encryption for Alfresco 5.x, though that only affects new content. For encrypting all existing content you would have to write some batch processing job that "touches" existing content in a way that it gets moved from the old content store into the new content store.
