We are using Alfresco V6.0.7 Community edition and AOS 1.2.0
We currently open Microsoft Office documents very effectively using the Microsoft Office Windows applications and the Microsoft URI schemes (in the same way Alfresco Share opens files when the option "Edit in Microsoft Office" is used).
It appears though that the specific access is using Basic Authentication, something that Microsoft started to block. For now we receive a warning alert when Word or Excel opens a document stored in Alfresco but it seems that very soon such access may be blocked (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/DeployOffice/security/basic-authentication-prompts-blocked#version...).
What options are available for the Microsoft Office Windows applications to open and edit directly documents stored in the Alfresco repository?
