I am new to Alfresco and I have a spot for my project. I want people with access to my local network running Windows or linux (ubuntu) to back up files to folders in Alfresco sites without going through the browser. A bit like a network connector ... actually I think. Please could someone give me the procedure to follow to do it. I think it's well explained Regards,

You can do it using FTP, Check this link Configuring the FTP file server | Alfresco Documentation
I hope it will be helpful to you.

Or use WebDAV and map a drive to the Alfresco WebDAV Share :-)
There are some useful protocols for this. See Protocols | Alfresco Documentation
