I'm unable to recover the admin password after performing a restore of a data directory from another Alfresco instance running the same version. I tried the different options listed here, but they don't seem to be working. After changing the administrator database password, I'm unable to log in as the admin user.
Since I'm restoring from another Alfresco instance, should I be using the same password from the instance I pulled the data from?
Yes, if you are doing a proper backup and restore, then you should have a kind of "clone" of the original repository, and that means all the folders, documents, users and "passwords" should be the same.
I guess you are not able to login because of another problem, not necessarily because of a wrong password.
Can you share here your log files?
Hi Doug,
I found the solution. I needed to perform a full reindex since I imported data from another instance.
Thanks!
