Where to put a robot.txt file?

I'm wanting to create a robot.txt and wondering which path it should go under. Would it be /install/tomcat/webapps/share

I would always put a robot.txt on my reverse proxy in the root path ("/"), and exclude that from being handled by the proxy rules forwarding requests to Alfresco / Share. I would not put it into either Alfresco or Share webapps at all.
