How to do browser based testing for ADF based applications?

Alfresco Share supports Share-PO (page objects) for doing browser based testing.

Does ADF has anything very simiar to this for ADF based application or we should write our own?

The suggested tool is Protactor:

Protractor - end-to-end testing for AngularJS

Any framework or extension that Alfresco dev team is planning on top of Protractor like WebDrone ?
