Use case:

We produce monthly progress reports for our customers. Some of these reports refer to addenda, i.e. documents with more details. The latter can be anything: xls files, jpg, doc … How can I tie up report and addenda?

Possible solution:

I was investigating the contentModel.xml file to find a clue as to how to deal with that issue and I found the aspect "partable". While I suspect that this aspect was created for other purposes (compount documents - dita), I wonder if it can also be used to the use case I have described.

If it cannot be used for that purpose, what else can be used?

Any pointers?
