Search Results - Missing Something

Question asked by wcameron on Oct 4, 2006
Hi All,

I am sure I am missing the correct way to do things, so if anyone can guide me with sample code I would appreciate it.

I am developing a Web Services Client to do basic interaction with alfresco.
I have figured out how to query the repository,  however i get back
4 rows of NameValue objects.

So far I cant see any other way, than to construct my own repository element object and parse the name values in order to populate my object.
This doesnt make a lot of sense.  I am thinking that I should be able to do all this with the client objects.  But i Just cant see how.

Here is a summary of my code

ResultSetRow[] rows = resultSet.getRows();
       List<RepositoryElement> rowList = new ArrayList<RepositoryElement>();
        if (rows != null)
        {
           LOGGER.debug("Num rows : " + rows.length);
            for (int x = 0; x < rows.length; x++)
            {
               rowList.add(RepositoryElementFactory.INSTANCE.getRepositoryElement(rows[x].getColumns()));
            }

        }
