Content dependencies

Question asked by marcus on Apr 24, 2008
I have the situation where a piece of text content on a page makes reference to an image displayed on that page. These pieces of content are managed using a webform for the text content, and a plain image asset. I want to ensure that if User A is updating the text content, User B doesn't, in their own sandbox, change the image. This could lead to the situation where if both users submit the changes via workflow, the review of these changes may appear to be okay in the context of that user's sandbox, but in actual fact the changes are out of sync with each other and the content is now no longer correctly referring to the image (which would arise in legal problems). Is there some way to enforce the dependant locking of other assets if one piece of content is locked?
