Webdav client (linux)

Question asked by novacoastjesse on Feb 13, 2007
After upgrade from 1.3 to 1.4 (community), our linux systems can't write data to alfresco through the webdav client in gnome.

We have tried on suse and ubuntu.

Because of the message received in the log (below), it appears webdav isn't using the authentication module properly…  We get the Guest: Access Denied message weather we are reading the folder or writing.  However, reading still works, writing does not.

We have tried one Apple webdav client, which works fine.  Through the web browser, we can view files through webdav with no error.

The problem definitely seems related to the webdav client, but I believe it wasn't a problem in Alfresco 1.3.  Any ideas?

Following message occurs in the trace log…

WARN  [org.alfresco.web.app.servlet.AuthenticationHelper] Unable to login as Guest: Access Denied.  You do not have the appropriate permissions to perform this operation.

WARN  [org.hibernate.cache.ReadWriteCache] An item was expired by the cache while it was locked (increase your cache timeout): org.alfresco.repo.domain.hibernate.NodeImpl.parentAssocs#42146
