Would you say that to implement Alfresco requires some in depth technical knowledge (and what sort of knowledge)? What would be the minimum requirements of the user? I don't want to waste everyone's  time with dumb questions or my own time struggling with something that is not meant for me. Maybe this is one of those dumb questions already.

My impression is that Alfresco is not intended for general knowledge/content workers. It seems that most discussions here require some scripting or programming knowledge. I was hoping that Alfresco was ready to use "out of the box" for an existing collection of content and that it's GUI would be fairly intuitive.

I have the Installation Guide (past that I guess) and the Getting Started guide, but I still feel like I'm not getting it. My own background is as an end user of Documentum for about 6 years. The only other CMS I've demo'd is Knowledgetree. The only "programming" I've done is to customize Foobar2000!
