Linux quick install no GUI

Question asked by fschnell on Jul 31, 2007
Hello,

tried to run the quick installer on Linux on a server which does not have X-Windows installed. I used the "-S" flag as suggested when executing the installer. However, towards the end it fails as it could not rename some files. Apparently during installation teh GUI would ask for some data, which teh command line installer does not.

Is there a way to specify these parameters on the command line or do I have to go through the hassle of installing each component by foot?

Thanks
Frank
