How do I pass a username and password to a webscript with out going to the login page.

Assume I have the following web script description

<webscript>
  <shortname>Link Control</shortname>
  <description>Get resource url property</description>
  <url>/linkControl/{path}</url>
  <format default="html">argument</format>
  <authentication>stagingusr</authentication>
  <transaction>required</transaction>
</webscript>

So according to this, stagingusr is required for this webscript to work. Am I correct?

Everytime I run this script, the login page appears. Is there any way I can add the stagingusr username and passoword in the scripturl so that the login page does not appear?

thanks.
