I understand that it is possible to run Alfresco on a Mac, so I downloaded the install file yesterday:

I've created the /opt/Alfresco directory. The instructions say to just 'install' the above file. I'm not sure what format file it is because it has no suffix, it's a binary, so, clearly can't be run directly from the command line - I've tried java, java as a .jar file, 'install', and various unzip files. What should I be doing?

Has anybody produced a step-by-step guide to set-up on a Mac?

Incidentally, and slightly connected, I set up an account to test the gui on the Alfresco 'test drive' page. It looks fine as things go, but there seems to be no link to the administration pages - the help file says that I should run the Alfresco 'explorer', but I'm no clearer - I can't find a reference to that.

Because of this, it seemed easier to install it all on my Mac, and get it going.
