NullPointerException on stopping application

Question asked by nyronian on Oct 3, 2007
I am trying to stop the alfresco application from tomcat and each time I do I get the following exception:

Exception in thread "Thread-111" java.lang.NullPointerException
        at org.alfresco.linkvalidation.LinkValidationServiceImpl.run(LinkValidat
ionServiceImpl.java:455)
        at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)

after which I cannot undeploy, reload or redeploy the application.  I have to restart tomcat to get it running again.  I would like to stop the alfresco application on a running production server and "redeploy" the app on a running server and can't seem to do it.

I am on Tomcat 5.5.25 running on Windows.  (I haven't tested it on Linux yet but will soon)

I noticed the same issue at http://issues.alfresco.com/browse/WCM-669 and it says it was fixed in 2.1.0E.  I am on 2.1 but not sure where that particular build or to verify the build version I am on.

Any information will be great.  I will let you know if I have the same problem on Linux.
