SEC Blessing for Document Storage

Question asked by docderivative on Mar 10, 2009
I have inherited ownership of a Document Repository which is based on software which is now end of life and therefore I have the opportunity to look at alternatives.  The Repository holds contractual documents relating to financial transactions.

There seems to be some folklore around the old implementation that it was subject to some kind of "SEC Blessing" and hence was fit for purpose.  Has anyone heard of such a blessing?  (Maybe SEC Rule 17a-4 compliance??)

Does Alfresco have such blessing?

I see DOD compliance which must, I imagine, at least partially, be heading in the right direction.

Thanks in Advance
