Can't see Document Library after upgrade

Hi

We have Alfresco Labs 3 Stable running on a hosted server managed by a 3rd party. They recently upgraded it from 3b to 3 Stable to alleviate the issue with Flash 10. After the upgrade I could log into the Share portal but could not see anything under the document library. I tried to log into Alfresco Explorer using the same credentials but I get an error saying the user name and/or password doesn't exist.

I then logged in as admin and tried to change the password for my user but I get an error saying
"Please correct the errors below then click Finish.
    * A system error happened during the operation: User name does not exist: edwmit0" but my user was listed in the user list.

I then restarted Tomcat and following this I cannot log into either the Explorer or Share.

Can someone please help as we cannot access any of our documents.
