Versionable content and Transform and copy content

Question asked by everly on Mar 3, 2008
I have a simple rule on a space that converts a file from MSWord to PDF and places the newly created PDF into another space on update, and another identical rule on insert.  When I add the content, MSWord document, through the Alfresco UI I am able to save the file, but not the meta-data, the "Modify Content Properties" screen.  If I go to the
space that contains the newly created PDF and delete it, then I can modify the meta-data.  The same is happening when I check out the MSWord file and try to check it back in.  The error message states "org.alfresco.service.cmr.version.VersionServiceException: The current version label of the node does not exist in the version history.".

This is only happening when I have the cm:versionable aspect added to my content model, shown below.  If I remove it, or use the default content type, the problem goes away.

<type name="cus:content">
   <title>Default Content</title>
   <description />
   <parent>cm:content</parent>
   <mandatory-aspects>
      <aspect>cm:versionable</aspect>
   </mandatory-aspects>

</type>
<type name="cus:pg">
   <title>Page</title>
   <description />
   <parent>cus:content</parent>
   <mandatory-aspects>
      <aspect>cus:publishAbleContent</aspect>
   </mandatory-aspects>
</type>
