Hi -

I apologize if this question has been posted before. Is there a recommended approach of filtering content type based on groups that a user belong to?

In our case the client app is a Flex-based. Since I didn't find a way in Alfresco to filter the content type based on user's role/groups, one of the options I am  thinking is

1) Create user groups using a PREFIX naming that contains the content type title. For examples:

Product_RWD
Marketing_RW

where, R=Read, W=Write, D=Delete permissions

2) In a custom web script service gets the user's groups and and their group prefixes. Using group prefixes to filter the list of content types a user has access to and make them available in the content type drop down menu.

If there is a better/elegant simplicity option for filtering out content type, please share.

Thanks,
Tuan
