Check if property exists

Question asked by ivan.plestina on Aug 20, 2009
Is there a way to check if property exists from Javascript API? Apparently, property with empty value and non-existent property both return null when called like:
value = node.properties["ge:dummyproperty"];

Scenario is that client application calls a webscript that sets metadata on a document and then returns 0 or 1. As the property name value is configurable we need to do validation on the webscript side to see if property even exists to return the correct value. Any advices?
