LDAP synchronization gives infinitely recursive group tree

Question asked by mortenj on Dec 1, 2011
Hi,

I am trying to set up LDAP synchronizatiion of users and groups from eDirectory. I have gotten import of users to work, but unfortunately the groups are not correctly imported. The names of the groups come in fine, but none of the groups seem to have any person members and all groups are subgroups of all the groups and all groups are subgroups of all subgroups etc. I.e. an infinite depth group tree.

I am using Alfresco 4.0.b on Jetty on Ubuntu 11.04. Below I include a copy of the relevant lines from my application.properties file. Unfortunately the data from the ldap server is private, so I cannot just post it here. I have tried varying the application.properties file quite a bit and in all cases I get this recursive group tree with no person members.

If anyone has any ideas as to what could be wrong I would be glad to hear them.

Regards

Morten
