Search Lucene problems

Question asked by dewil on Feb 8, 2010
Hi,

I am a noob user of Alfresco and i am using Alfresco Community Network 1.4.0 with Oracle 9i, although I will migrate to a new version. In my current version, I'm trying to optimize search because medium querys lucene not work. I have about around 60000 documents aprox. in my Alfresco, when I search and returns fewer than 700 aprox. results (10 seg), work fast, but when the query returns 2000 hits aprox. too late (60 min).

I've seen in posts that the ideal is to limit searches, but limiting in the "Web Service Client" hit the Exception "Time OUT" when the query is launched on line"repositoryService.query(STORE, getQuery(sConsulta), true);" (and the query is still rendered on the server):
int Tamanno = 10;
QueryConfiguration queryCfg = new QueryConfiguration();
queryCfg.setFetchSize(Tamanno);
RepositoryServiceSoapBindingStub repositoryService = WebServiceFactory.getRepositoryService();
repositoryService.setHeader(new RepositoryServiceLocator().
               GetServiceName().
               getNamespaceURI(),
               "QueryHeader",
               queryCfg);
QueryResult resultado = repositoryService.query(STORE, getQuery(sConsulta), true);
String querySession = resultado.getQuerySession();
while (querySession != null) {
   resultado = repositoryService.fetchMore(querySession);
   querySession = resultado.getQuerySession();
}

I've also tried by setting properties:

<search-max-results>100</search-max-results>

and

I tried changing these parameters in the repository.properties file
# The maximum time spent pruning results
system.acl.maxPermissionCheckTimeMillis=1000
# The maximum number of results to perform permission checks against
system.acl.maxPermissionChecks=100

Although this last, Does it work for my version? I think not…

It appears that the search is limited after running the query, and these querys take too long. What someone thinks I can do?

Thank you very much and sorry for my English
