Intercepting repository service requests using Spring AOP

Question asked by bluearth on Feb 17, 2010
Hi all,

I need to intercept repository service requests : When someone creates a space (using FileFolderService), the interceptor checks for the space type (we have custom type) and if it matches certain type, the repository will do certain action (say, emit email message to predefined addresses).

The reason why I want to do it on the repository level (and not say web client) is to have the consistent behavior across explorer, webdav, cifs, or share.

I'm thinking along the following line:
- Implement my custom actio as Spring AOP Advice
- Find the pointcuts I can plug my advice into.

The question is where will the pointcut be?
Is there any simpler way to achieve the same effect?

Thank You
