Alfresco can be used instead of Virtual Documents?

Question asked by kate on Feb 22, 2012
Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any case examples in which Alfresco was used instead of Documentum for Virtual Documents?

I currently use Documentum for pharmaceutical document management. Especially Virtual Documents, a function of Documentum, enables me to do the following things. I make a PDF document from one document virtually composed of multiple document files. And then the PDF document is used in a workflow.
In addition to it, for management of documents noted above, I record a snapshot. (Ex. snapshot_16thFeb )

So, does anyone have any example of using Alfresco as pointed out above? If yes, please let me know.

Thanks.
