Start Alfresco as a service on MAC OSX Lion

Question asked by taulich on Mar 11, 2012
Hi there,

I am an alfresco-newbie but have successfully installed the version 4.0d on a MAC Mini with MAC OS 10.7.3. I used the osx-Installer from alfresco-org to do the installation.

Everything works fine when I start alfresco interactive: "sudo /Applications/alfresco/alfresco.sh start"

Now I am trying to automate the alfresco-start when the system boots. I thought the best way to do that is writing a plist-file in /Library/LaunchDaemons and use launchctl to register it.

I tried a couple of plist-files till now, but I didn't get it running this way. the tomcat creates an empty catalina-out-Logfile and then it terminates without any message/error after a few seconds.

Has someone managed a alfresco-autostart on system-boot under MAC-OS? I would really like to know, how to do that.

Many thanks in advance,

Thomas
