Outbound E-mail Configuration

Question asked by agm on Mar 19, 2012
Hi, I write to you because I get in logs (full log http://pastebin.com/ZMcTt9Lv )

com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPAddressFailedException: 504 5.5.2 <taquion>: Helo command rejected: need fully-qualified hostname

My outbound email configuration is:

mail.host=mail.XXX.com
mail.port=25
mail.encoding=UTF-8
mail.from.default=alfresco@XX.com
mail.smtp.auth=false
mail.smtp.debug=true

Also I try with mail.smtp.localhost=mail.XX.com and smtp.localhost=mail. Is important notice to you that I can use telnet and send mails normally. Also I know that problem is about HELO instruction (I use tcpdump to confirm that); my host is sending "taquion" and not "taquion.XXX.com"… then I set in ./tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco-global.properties.sample and ./tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco-global.properties.sample (in both) the following:

alfresco.context=alfresco
alfresco.host=taquion.XXX.com
alfresco.port=80
alfresco.protocol=http
#
share.context=share
share.host=taquion.XXX.com
share.port=80
share.protocol=http

But I cant set taquion.XXX.com, I get again <taquion>: Helo command rejected: need fully-qualified hostname. Some idea about how to solve it?

I install alfresco using the installer (not customize installation) and I have alfresco 4.0d

Regards
