Blocking Alfresco Access but Allowing Share Access

Question asked by jeff.krull on Mar 23, 2010
We have an Alfresco environment set up on Windows Server 2008, and are using Share as a frontend with custom webscripts and dashlets to expose particular content residing in Alfresco Explorer to users through the Share Dashboard.  However, we have a requirement to disallow users from either accessing or logging in to Alfresco Explorer through the web, while still being allowed to access Share.  We have considered a number of options, such as overriding the default login bean, using Tomcat valves, and using different ports for the applications.  Does anyone here have any experience with this kind of requirement?
