Share Log-in performance in 3.3 - really slow

Question asked by jmcooper on Jun 16, 2010
Hello,

I have a running 3.3 Community clean install on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS  working pretty well. Everything I'd hoped for is working well (Sharepoint emulation, Office viewers, Records Management, etc) …. except for one thing

When initially logging in via the Share I/F or when jumping back to "My Dashboard" from a site it takes forever (http://192.168.0.xx:8080/share/page/user/admin/dashboard) … well ok: 30sec - 1 minute, but sometimes never without reloading the page. No errors in the log, and everything in the Alfresco view is really snappy (http://192.168.0.xx:8080/alfresco/faces/jsp/login.jsp).  It's a very small site at this point but I'm afraid to turn more users loose.

There is some indication that upgrading to 3.3g may solve this. Is this recommend, and is there any other data to collect first?  Also, how do I upgrade from 3.3 to 3.3g and preserve all my current configs: amps, data, etc?

Thanks!
