HOWTO: Mapping Network Drive to individual Alfresco Site 4.2

Question asked by michaelmtz on Oct 16, 2012
Hello,

Scenario (Community 4.2) :
Once you have configured Alfresco to enable mapping network drive (e.g. Start Alfresco as root)
and mapped a network drive to Alfresco Share,  you let out a sigh

Because the drive dumps the user above the "Sites" folder.
You don't want the end user mucking about that high in the structure.

In my case use case there is one master site,  hence one area the drive
should be drilled into.

Solution :
1. Edit file : file-servers.properties
     4.2: TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/subsystems/fileServers/default/file-servers.properties

      Change line  (example for swsdp):

 filesystem.rootPath=${protocols.rootPath}/${spaces.sites.childname}/cm:swsdp/cm:documentLibrary

2. File:  repository.properties
     4.2:  TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/repository.properties

      Change line:

 protocols.rootPath=/${spaces.company_home.childname}

When the drive is mapped it places the user in the swdsp site.

That's all and thanks for the fish.
