Performance in xforms.js

Question asked by xmaniac on Sep 14, 2010
As soon as a form is somewhat complex (several xs:string and several nested levels) Web Forms become totally unusable with response times in the order of 5 or 6 seconds for each click (all browsers show an alert complaining about the time the script takes). I've noticed http://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-3032 and it may be related and help with the issue but we're using the community edition (anyway to access the patch?). I've also thought about removing the _updateDisplay function code entirely (it's better to have a misplaced form that nothing at all!) but I'm unsure of the side effects. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Help is appreciated.
