Performance in xforms.js

Question asked by xmaniac on Sep 14, 2010
As soon as a form is somewhat complex (several xs:string and several nested levels) Web Forms become totally unusable with response times in the order of 5 or 6 seconds for each click (all browsers show an alert complaining about the time the script takes). I've noticed and it may be related and help with the issue but we're using the community edition (anyway to access the patch?). I've also thought about removing the _updateDisplay function code entirely (it's better to have a misplaced form that nothing at all!) but I'm unsure of the side effects. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Help is appreciated.
