share paging (and counts) do not honor sys:hidden

I am using the sys:hidden aspect on folders that I want to temporarily hide from (everyone's) view.

Share does honor this to the extent that the folders do not appear listed anywhere in the tree or in the page-view when navigating to that folder's parent.

However, the sys:hidden nodes (all folders in this case) are still included in the pagination controls in the footer of the pane, and they are also included in the count for the tree-view on the left pane (I can easily make the "Too many folders" icon appear, when actually only a few of the many folders in that expanded node are visible).

Has anyone else noticed this?  Any ideas how I can fix this?

Experiencing this with 4.0e.
