Receiving anonymous Inbound Mail

Question asked by gsteen on Oct 20, 2010
Hallo,

i configured alfresco to receive inbound mail. this is working and i can send mails to spaces via mailid or alias useing me@me.com as sender address (my user is member of the emailcontributors-group).

i then configured a substitude-address in tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/subsystems/email/InboundSMTP/inboundSMTP.properties

email.inbound.unknownUser=me@me.com

as far as i understood, a incomming anonymous mail (lets say sent by you@you.com) should be rewritten to the sender me@me.com and then be accepted by alfresco, because me@me.com identifies a user who is member of the emailcontributors group.

but whats happening ist an error:
554 The user 'me@me.com' in not in the email contributor group.

as i said, me@me.com IS member of emailcontributor group and sending an email from me@me.com does not result in an error.

Is there an error in my thoughts or a bug in alfresco?
Or: How else can I allow anonymous e-mails to alfresco?

I'm using CE 3.4a an Debian

Thanx in advance,

gerd
