Compose two LDAP attributes

Question asked by franjb68 on Jan 24, 2011

I'm having some trouble trying to configure the Alfresco LDAP sync so the cm:lastName property gets a value that is the composition of two LDAP attributes.

I've created a new attribute in called ldap.synchronization.userLastNameAttributeName2 and I assign it the second last name field in our LDAP server.

Then I've modified tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/subsystems/Authentication/ldap/ldap1/custom-ldap-context.xml:

                <entry key="cm:lastName">
                    <!– OpenLDAP: "sn" –>
                    <!– Active Directory: "sn" –>
                    <value>${ldap.synchronization.userLastNameAttributeName} ${ldap.synchronization.userLastNameAttributeName2}</value>

But, after restarting and syncing, the cm:lastName value is still the one in ldap.synchronization.userLastNameAttributeName.

How could I put ldap.synchronization.userLastNameAttributeName+ blank+ ldap.synchronization.userLastNameAttributeName2 in cm:lastName?

Thanks in advance,
