Licensing Arrangements for outside access

Question asked by bensewell on Mar 31, 2011

Looking to move Alfresco to the outside world but unsure on licensing arrangements.  The way that Alfresco will logon in future is to have users authenticate against active directory in our own network.  This will obviously do a query between Alfresco and the Windows server meaning that a client access license (CAL) would be required.  All computers in our organisation have these as part of the standard setup.  But what about users who access Alfresco from the outside world in?  They would be using their own PC equipment so would not be covered by their work based CAL.

Does this make sense and has anyone else looked into this issue?
