'relativePath' not respected in CIFS

Question asked by mortenj on Apr 28, 2011
Hi,

I am trying to set up Alfresco so that users that log in via CIFS start off in another folder than the default ("Company Home"). I am using alfresco-community-3.4.d-installer-linux-x64.bin.

To do this I simply added a "relativePath" line in my WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/file-servers.xml file and restarted Tomcat. The relevant part of this file is as follows:

   <config evaluator="string-compare" condition="Filesystems">
      <filesystems>

         <!– Alfresco repository access shared filesystem –>
         <filesystem name="${filesystem.name}">
            <store>workspace://SpacesStore</store>
            <rootPath>/app:company_home</rootPath>
            <relativePath>/CifsHome</relativePath>

Unfortunately this did not have the desired effect when one accesses the server via CIFS. The initial directory is still "Company Home". Does anyone have any ideas about how I can set things up so that everyone that accesses the server via CIFS is restricted to a different directory than the default?

Thanks,

Morten
