Desktop Sync and Linux

I have downloaded the Desktop Sync for alfresco onto windows 7 machine and trying to get the program to work on Linux (Centos 6.4) I have read the blog from…
http://www.zaizi.com/blog/alfresco-desktop-sync

I know that it was written over a year ago and I'm wondering if they now have Linux support. I'm using Alfresco 4.2.c and when I put in the credentials I can see my test site and a sub folder that I have created. When uploading a via UI it does not sync with the application on the windows 7 machine. I tried doing it the other way and adding a text file in the C:/user/alfresco/[shared folder] and it doesn't show up on the site via UI.

So my question….has there been any changes for offering Linux support? If so, where do I go on fixing this issue? If not, any time frame as to when it might be a possibility?

Thanks and happy 4th!!
