Dear Alfresco Community,

this is an official announcement from the pernexas company:

Version 3.0 of the Alfresco-SAP integration [/img] has been released!

[/img]   [/img]

The new major release is certified by SAP and certified by Alfresco again! It's furthermore the fist Alfresco module ever that has passed the Alfresco certification program for Alfresco 5.0 and Alfresco 5.1! Alfresco 4.2 is also still supported.
Please find below a short summary of some highlights of the new release:

•   Support of SAP HTTP Content Server Version 4.70 (SAP HANA support)
Version 3.0 is successfully certified by SAP against SAP HTTP Content Server Version 4.70 which is SAP NetWeaver 7.40. It supports all Archivelink scenarios as well as SAP DMS, SAP Records Management, SAP Case Management, SAP Solution Manager or even the SAP Document Finder! With SAP NetWeaver 7.40 also SAP HANA is supported.

•   Alfresco 5.0 ready
The new version works fine with Alfresco 5.0 and it is certified for it!

•   Alfresco 5.1 ready
The new version also supports Alfresco 5.1 and is certified for it!

•   Introducing Event system
Moving to a platform: With the introduction of an event system, connexas offers a great way to adapt customer specific business logic based on events that are fired for any SAP related action in Alfresco. By using the included integration framework 'framexas', customers and partners can build their own apps based on connexas.

•   Improvement of the 'Open corresponding business object in SAP' feature
It was already possible to override and enhance the available SAP object types by just creating a special document within the Alfresco repository. With the new version it is also possible to split aspect values by a given syntax and pass it to different parameter.

•   Connect up to 10 different SAP systems (or content repositories)
We've enhanced the maximum number of SAP systems that can be connected to one Alfresco instance. With connexas 3 it is now possible to connect up to 10 SAP systems - but it would be also possible to connect up to 10 different content repositories of 1 SAP system instead (or a mix). The advantages are: Enable/disable jobs per SAP system or content repository, login with a different user, enable/disable certificates,…

•   Re-design of the administration panel
We've re-designed the GUI for the the administration panel. There are now more actions possible than before (i.e. enable the certificate from SAP)

Please feel free to request a trial version of the current release to checkout all the features. Connect Alfresco with SAP in less than 1 hour! Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions.

And by the way: Did you know that we do have the knowledge and tools available to successfully migrate documents from any existing content repository behind SAP to Alfresco? For example: Documentum, FileNet and of course OpenText! And we also did it already for all of these system. Reference customers are available.
