Mancata login dopo arresto improvviso ubuntu server

[monocromo]

Ciao a tutti, dopo aver installato alfresco 4.2.a su di un sistema Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS e dopo aver verificato il corretto funzionamento con creazione di siti e cartelle di prova ho dovuto spegnere malamente il server.
Al suo riavvio alfresco non è più ripartito e questo è l'errore presente in catalina.out

Cosa può essere accaduto?
Windows non mi ha mai dato questi difetti nel caso di arresti improvvisi.

Ho risolto, il problema è che nel file etc/hosts c'era un indirizzo ip sbagliato.
Non riesco però a capire il motivo per cui non riuscivo a fare la login.

Per pura curiosità… avevi un'autenticazione esterna ad esempio LDAP su AD? O avevi provato anche con uno user locale di alfresco? Mi domando se può essere plausibile che il mancato login derivasse dal fatto che l'errore sul file /etc/host impedisse alla macchina di raggiungere la rete e quindi contattare il server dell' AD ad esempio?

Non ho usato il protocollo LDAP in quanto non lo conosco, l'autenticazione l'ho fatta tramite la login standard. La macchina era connessa alla rete senza problemi, raggiungeva sia internet che la LAN dell'ufficio.

Allora non ne ho idea… anche dai log sembra difficile estrapolare qualcosa di chiaro.
