Known Issues

Question asked by deko Employee on Jul 6, 2010
At the moment, the following CMIS issues are knwon:

- The Date transport format can not be parsed on Alfresco CMIS SOAP services

- Search for documents/folders/objects will return an empty result list, when using the equal operator (e.g. cmis:name is equal "myDoc") and there are more than one result

- Search for documents/folders/objects will return an empty result list, when the configured maximum result list size is greater than the number of hits returned for the result list

- Adding a folder to favorites is working incorrect, if the entry root is on CMIS-Network level

Note: Alfresco is already informed about their CMIS SOAP webservice problems and their development team is working together with the WeWebU development team to fix those issues.

Furthermore, following environment problems can appear:

- When using a Jboss application server (version 4.0.5 GA), parsing problems can appear. To avoid this errors, simply update the XALAN and XERCES libraries of the server.

- Using Tomcat (version 6.x) with a JDK 1.6 produces a Webservice.paramName(…) error. To avoid this error, copy the delivered webservice-api.jar into the "endorsed" directory of the application server, e.g. for Tomcat (version 6.x) "%tomcat_home%/endorsed"

- When using OpenWorkdesk Community Edition on top of the Alfresco online CMIS system (so called "cloud"), from time to time an "Error: Cannot create communication to the Webservices!" exception is thrown, because the Alfresco online system is down (Yes, that happens sometimes  )
