Title: WebSphere Commerce Architect
Location: San Diego, CA

Position Description:

Our client is implementing a new eCommerce platform and has selected IBM’s WebSphere Commerce as their new platform.  They are looking to bring in a WebSphere Commerce Application Architect to lead their implementation effort.  This is a complex project that will involve working with many interfaces and 3rd party integrations.  Our client is looking for a consultant to help enhance the architecture of the current eCommerce channel.  The candidate will be asked to provide guidance and input regarding the over-all strategy for the eCommerce operation.

Position Responsibilities:

•   The consulting architect will lead the implementation project from a technical design perspective ensuring proposed solutions are accepted by all key stakeholders and align to industry best standards.
•   Provide application architecture recommendations
•   Provide guidance in implementation of client's new eCommerce solution IBM's Websphere Commerce.
•   Work closely with business to ensure that business requirements are translated to technology requirements and subsequently drive the execution of from design through successful deployment of new eCommerce platform.
•   Provides technology architecture consulting expertise, insight, feedback, and assistance to the client’s Project Team.
•   Interact with all levels of the business including executive management.

Required Education & Experience:

•   Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
•   10+ years of Information technology experience.
•   Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with WebSphere Commerce.
