Load balancer Sticky sessions

Question asked by t16 on Jan 17, 2015
Am I correct in thinking you ONLY need sticky sessions on a load balancer when you have a main alfresco cluster?

I.e If I had ONE main alfresco instance, and two share web front ends, I would NOT require sticky sessions on the load balancer handling the requests to the two share front ends?

Does this make any difference with SSL enabled on the web frontends either?

Many thanks.

OK Sticky sessions are required for Share, but from the share front ends to the alfresco cluster via another load balancer, do I need anything fancy like sticky sessions, or just straight round robin between the load balancer sitting infront the main alfresco repository cluster and the two share front ends?
