Support for ad-hoc sub-processes

Question asked by b.schnarr on Apr 27, 2015
Hello at all,

the BPMN standard defines ad-hoc sub-processes. This type of Sub-Process is a collection of activities that can be performed in any order (BPMN-symbol: a Sub-Process object with a “tilde” marker at the bottom center of the object)

This construct is very important for realizing ad-hoc behaviour like the workflow-pattern 17: http://www.workflowpatterns.com/patterns/control/state/wcp17.php

I added a ticket for this: https://activiti.atlassian.net/browse/ACT-4009
