disable recent activity email

I'm using Alfresco Community 5.0.d and want to disable the recent activity email sent to all users.

So far I have added below line in alfresco-global.properties.

activities.feed.notifier.enabled=false

But still I'm able to see the below option on sites section for user's.

Is there a way to disable it for all users and let them enable if they want to.

You need to disable Email Notification Feed in user profile / notification.If you want to disable this at the time of user creation write a webscript for it.
