SSL Microsoft Office - easy way?

Question asked by mad_tom on Mar 24, 2017

Hello all together,

i wonder if there is a easy way to open SSL with microsoft office from web.

my setup:

alfresco community 201702 installed on ubuntu 16.04 just for internal use.

alfresco installed with AOS and SOLR4.

LDAP authentication works fine.

Clients mostly OSx with MS Office 2010

my need:

i want to open directly ms office files from webview like with sharepoint.

with alfresco-global.properties configured as followed:

alfresco.port=8080

alfresco.protocol=http

share.port=8080

share.protocol=http

Office error msg: it does not work without SSL.

I do not want to disable this for all user, with registry

with alfresco-global.properties configured as followed:

alfresco.port=8443

alfresco.protocol=https

share.port=8443

share.protocol=https

Office error msg, there is no connection with: https://my_ip_adress:8443/alfresco/aos/User-Homes/username/filename.xlsx because there is no connection with server.

i can browse: https://my_ip_adress:8443/alfresco/aos/User-Homes/username

I also tried to follow Configuring SSL for a test environment | Alfresco Documentation  with step b,

do i have to follow Edit the server's iptables configuration to specify the redirection, or is it only for step a?

Did i miss something?

Thanks in advance
