Hi,
We have a network printer at the office (canon c5235i) to scan documents and send them as PDF files via email attachments to Alfresco. The process of storing the PDF files at the alfresco aliasable folder goes well, but problem is that in the document properties the mimetype is wrong (plain text instead of PDF)! And for that reason, when we try to open them, the system returns this error:
Alfresco Web Script Status 500 - Internal Error
The Web Script /alfresco/wcs/api/node/workspace/SpacesStore/8f3c51f2-94a4-42eb-9bd3-824798bd306d/content/thumbnails/pdf has responded with a status of 500 - Internal Error.

Diagnostics: Inspect Web Script (org/alfresco/repository/thumbnail/thumbnail.get)
If I change the mimitype from plain text to PDF in document properties before open the PDF file, all works well.
Is this a bug or some xml configuration that is missing?
Please help
Thank you.
Fernando
Is the file extension correct (.pdf) too? Is the email html or plain? have you tried replicating this behavior with a regular email client too? Grab on of the pdfs and send them as an email to your alfresco installation?
