How to block user after unsuccessful login attempt?

Hi All

I am beginner and i am using Alfresco 5.0 d version. I want to implemented the functionality to block the user after n-number of invalid login attempts and then send the email to administrator. I know, there are some threads similar to this but i did not get useful solution.

My primary goal is to block the user,

I have modified the alfresco-global.properties file as below. Still it is not working

authentication.protection.enabled=true
authentication.protection.limit=10
authentication.protection.periodSeconds=30

I would like to know if there is a way to block the user.

Re: How to block user after unsuccessful login attempt?

Hello,

Support for locking user accounts after multiple unsuccessful logins was added in Alfresco Community Edition 201612 GA Release Notes  - Platform 5.2.d, please see the related release notes.

So you should be able to use the properties you listed, if you grab the 201612 GA version or later.

I recommend using the latest community release Alfresco Community Edition 201704 GA Release - .
