How to tuning of CIFS for Access speed?

Question asked by shosho on Sep 15, 2017

I was change share file server from Windows2010 server to CIFS of alfresco-community 201605 on linux(Cent OS7).

But happened problem as below when we start use new share file server.

- Access speed very delayed happen irregularly. When reading and writing the file of the shared file server,

- client software from shared fileserver whenthat leaves tempfile in the shared folder of the opened file

  When the software used on the client PC communicates somewhat with the shared folder,

  the response of the screen gets worse while using the software.

  (ex check "save periodically" in MicroSoftOffice etc.)

So,I thought that tuning is necessary, I changed the setting referring to the following URL. But there was no effect.

https://blyx.com/2015/02/05/alfresco-tuning-shortlist/

1./opt/alfresco_community/tomcat/shared/classes

 global.properties

   db.pool.max= 275 -> 375changed

2./opt/alfresco_community/tomcat/conf/

  server.xml

   maxThreads="200"  -> "300"changed

3./opt/alfresco_community/tomcat/bin

 setenv.sh

  export CATALINA_OPTS=" -Xmx=8192m  -Xms=8192m" added(depend on memory size of server machine)

4./opt/alfresco_community/alf_data/

   postgresql.conf

    max_connection= 600 -> 1000changed

5./etc/security/

   limits.conf

    tomcat soft nofile 4096

    tomcat hard nofile 65535

Please advise someone who knows about the configuration to raise the access speed.
